This is one of the first novels I have ever dropped, and I'm telling you—I've read slop till the end, but I just couldn't handle this one. How should I say it... I'm really disappointed in the author. Maybe he's right about what he was doing, but I don't like it. This is an English original novel and I actually liked it very much at the beginning. I mean, it was going quite well. The name suggests harem, which actually deters people who don't like that, but the novel was going good. I would say when the author stopped uploading, I remember checking every few minutes again and again—it was that good. The suspense was awesome, the characters were awesome, the character dynamics were actually very good. But it all got ruined after the Hell arc, and to be honest, I might have never felt so disappointed. It transitioned from power progression adventure to smut—literally smut. I mean yeah, you had three wives, I get it... you even went for the mothers-in-law, I was okay with that... then the MC crossed into actual incest territory with his own parents! I mean, what the hell was going on? The author made the MC the best man in the whole universe and started collecting every girl he could. What is this? Later it felt like reading a fever dream you had during monsoon season. How should I say this... I might re-read this novel up to the Hell arc because it was really that good before it went off the rails. So for any readers who might want to try this... give it a try. You might not like it, but it's worth experiencing the early parts.
