Upon arrival, he discovers the horrifying truth: dragons are not myths, they are ancient, apex predators that once ruled the world, and they are beginning to wake up.

Cassell College is a secret training ground for "hybrids"—humans with dragon genes—dedicated to hunting these ancient kings. Despite his lack of visible talent, Mingfei is designated an "S-Rank," the highest potential grade in the school. Haunted by a mysterious boy named Lu Mingze who offers him god-like power in exchange for portions of his life, Mingfei must navigate the cutthroat politics of the student body and the literal fire of dragon warfare. Season 2, The Mourner's Eyes, shifts the focus to a darker conspiracy involving the awakening of the Dragon King of Earth and Mountain, pushing the boundaries of Mingfei's sanity and loyalty.
