Yuji Itadori is an unnaturally fit high school student who joins the Occult Research Club purely for fun, despite his immense athletic ability. His grandfather’s dying wish—to "always help people"—pushes him to a fateful encounter when a powerful Cursed Spirit is attracted to a rotten, high-grade Cursed Object that his clubmates unwittingly unsealed.*

To protect his friends from the monster, Yuji swallows the object—a finger of the supremely powerful and malevolent Cursed Spirit, Ryomen Sukuna. Yuji miraculously survives, becoming the vessel for Sukuna, though he manages to keep Sukuna's personality dormant most of the time.*

Upon discovering his unique status, Yuji is taken in by Satoru Gojō, the strongest Jujutsu Sorcerer, and enrolled in the Tokyo Metropolitan Curse Technical College. There, he teams up with fellow first-years Megumi Fushiguro and Nobara Kugisaki to train as a Jujutsu Sorcerer. Yuji's death sentence is postponed by the higher-ups, giving him a temporary mission: find all of Sukuna's remaining fingers and consume them, thus purifying them with his death, which is now scheduled to happen only after all fragments have been gathered. The series follows Yuji and his friends as they confront terrifying Curses and powerful rival sorcerers.
